Welcome to Don’t Break the Comb, your natural hair source for hair care products, dolls and meetups. We’re dedicated to giving you the very best of products, with a focus on education, growth and customer service.
To empower Afro-Caribbean women to master their natural hair with ease and celebrate its uniqueness, putting an end to generational hair trauma.
For many of us, breaking combs during our childhood hair care experience was frustrating. It created painful memories and fueled the development of negative attitudes towards our own natural hair. Up to this day, Afro-Caribbean, tightly-coiled hair is said to be 'hard', dry and unmanageable when it is in fact extremely fragile, exposed and often handled incorrectly. Don't Break the Comb celebrates natural hair texture and versatility. It promotes natural hair growth & loving care
Officially launched in 2010 by Rochelle Ward, Don’t Break the Comb has come a long way from its beginnings in 2013 when it began it Facebook page and hosted its Natural Hair Mixology Workshop on St. Martin.
When Rochelle first started out, her passion for helping others appreciate, manage and love their curls drove her to expand her resources, and gave her the impetus to turn hard work and inspiration into a booming online store. We currently serve customers on St. Martin and neighbouring Caribbean islands, and are thrilled to be a part of the “sun and salt” wing of the natural hair care industry.
“We hope you enjoy our products as much as we enjoy offering them to you. If you have any questions or comments, please don’t hesitate to contact us.”
Rochelle Ward, Founder.
