Organic Shikakai Powder

Prevent dandruff, strengthen hair roots and cleanse the hair with this ayurvedic herb. Grown as a pod fruit in India, this shikakai or "fruit for the hair" is organically certified and packaged as fine powder. It can be used alone without conditioner as a natural detangler and herbal shampoo; however, no hair is created equal and if needed use this product along with a condition, apple cider vinegar rinse or moisturing leave in or oil for enhanced results.

Mix your shikakai powder with warm to hot distilled water. It's recommend to add an ingredient that has slip such as a conditioner, aloe vera powder or fenugreek. Prewash your hair with our hair wash or shampoo bars. Apply onto hair and gently work into the shikakai paste into scalp and down along your hair strands. water and make a paste which is worked through the hair. Rinse out of your hair using our Cleansing CoWash. Optionally, you can use an ACV rinse as well. Do note some hair types may require balancing with our cleansing cowash or an ACV rinse. Moisturize, dry and style hair as usual.

Henna and Ayurvedic herbs can be drying to some hair types. Be sure to add necessary moisturizing ingredients to your hair treatments before and after.
